THE year 2010 is set to have a historic impact on South Africans with football being the main event of the year.

It is then only fitting that the Mobile operator Cell C announce that the two most outstanding performers in the popular Easter Soccer Tournament will share in two sets of World Cup tickets.

As part of the prize for winning their respective tournaments, the 20 champions of the 2010 edition of the Cell C Easter Soccer Tournament will each qualify to go into a lucky draw where two sets of 18 WC tickets will be issued to the 2 lucky winning teams, to attend matches during the world football spectacle in June.

"The winning teams will be hosted in the Cell C suites. They will also receive special hampers. However, we’ll not be responsible for their transport and accommodation," says Cell C sponsorship executive, Richard Naledi.

The lucky recipients will get the once in a lifetime opportunity to watch matches taking place in their region or province.

The WC ticket prize is expected to add to the huge excitement among the participating teams at the two tournaments, which attract hundreds of enthusiastic fans each year. The prizes also serve to motivate players to perform to their best ability.

The Cell C Easter Soccer Tournaments, currently underway until Monday 5 April, are being hosted at several venues across seven provinces.
