Cell C action heats up across the country

Limpopo, Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga tournament news, including all semi finalists.
In Limpopo, soccer fans will be treated to another football fest when the quarter-finals of the region’s Cell C Easter Community Soccer Tournament are played today.

To kick start the day’s activities, Titibe play Mokgopo All Stars, while Celtic come up against Champion, and Balobedu takes on Determined Brothers. The last game of the afternoon sees Mantsuku face off against Chaba Pirates.

Thulamahashe stadium is expected to come alive when the popular Mapogo take on Combination FC in the first semi-finals of the Bushbuckridge region. In the other semi-final, Real Rangers play Phama FC.

In Mpumalanga, today’s games feature a double header at Matsulu stadium. In the first match, favourites Nyamazane Celtic play Bufferspruit All Blacks, followed by Thabo All Stars against City Movers. The day’s two winners will meet in the final at the same venue tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in Eastern Cape, at the Mthatha Rotary grounds, Happy Brothers face Mndhondhlo All Nations, while Bizana Lucky Stars play Bityi All Stars, in the semi-finals.

At Nghumbela stadium, FC Buffalo play Mbabakazi All Stars, while Butterworth All Stars tackle Eagles. In the afternoon’s other games, Bushbucks are up against the Brazilians and Hotspurs play Monte FC.

In Queenstown, the Old Base military ground will host a fantastic double-header between local favourites Amathole FC and Morning Stars FC, to contest for a place in tomorrow’s final. In the other semi-final, Holy Kings come up against Zola Sundowns.
